About the Event

BIPOC Outdoor Gear Library and Paddle Like a Girl are excited to bring you this backcountry camping workshop where you will gain all the basic skills to start backcountry tripping.  Tori and Shari of Paddle Like a Girl will get you out on the water and feeling comfortable in a canoe by the end of their 4-hour workshop. While Dee and Karen of BIPOC Outdoor Gear Library will have you rigging up a safe and comfortable campsite in no time! Join us after the workshop for dinner around the campfire and some good conversation.  This is intended as an overnight camping excursion. A private group site has been booked and you will have access to your vehicle. Stick around in the morning for a light breakfast and restorative yoga with Selam Debs.

Food, park entry and camping fees are included in the ticket price.  Camping gear will be provided by BIPOC Outdoor Gear Library. Canoes, Lifejackets & Paddles will be provided by Paddle Like a Girl.

Through the support of Jack Links, Muskol, Merrell and Nova Craft Canoe we are able to make this event more accessible by reducing financial barriers.
