About the Event
This hands-on half-day workshop will equip you with the confidence and skills to paddle your own canoe. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your abilities, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
What We’ll Cover:
✅ Map Reading & Navigation – Learn to navigate and prepare your route.
✅ Shouldering & Carrying a Canoe – Master the lift and portage confidently.
✅ Solo & Tandem Paddling – Flatwater techniques for smooth paddling.
✅ Car Topping – Learn how to secure a canoe for transport.
